This document describes how a moolt user can request access to their personal data, correction of data, deletion of account and related data, and restriction of data processing.
What requests can be submitted
You can ask moolt:
- provide a copy of the personal data associated with your account;
- correct inaccurate or outdated account data;
- delete the account and data associated with the account;
- restrict the processing of data if you believe that the data is inaccurate, processed unlawfully or is no longer necessary for the purposes of processing;
- receive an explanation of what data is processed and for what purposes.
How to delete an account
If you are logged in to your account, deleting your account can be done through the deleting account function in the product, if available in the interface. Technically, account deletion is performed through a secure request:
DELETE /auth/meThe request is only available to an authorized user and requires a valid authorization token.
After successful account deletion, moolt deletes from the main database:
- user record;
- pages belonging to the user;
- cards on user pages;
- records about media files associated with the user.
What may not be deleted immediately
Deleting an account from the main database does not immediately remove all technical traces of data in all systems.
After deleting an account, some data may be temporarily retained:
- in server logs and security logs;
- in backup copies of databases or infrastructure;
- in caches, indexes, analytical or diagnostic systems;
- in records that moolt is required to maintain to comply with the law, protect rights, investigate abuse, prevent fraud, resolve disputes or fulfill contractual and accounting obligations;
- in technical copies of files if they are temporarily stored in backup copies, caches, security logs, analytical or diagnostic systems.
moolt will delete or anonymize such data within a reasonable time unless its continued storage is required for technical, legal or security reasons.
Request to delete media files from file storage
If you deleted your account or sent a request to delete data and would like to separately verify the deletion of uploaded files, please indicate this in your request. It is advisable to indicate in your request:
- email or other account identifier;
- approximate dates when the files were uploaded;
- links to pages or files, if you have them saved;
- description of files that need to be checked or deleted.
If the identity of the applicant is confirmed and there is no legal basis for further retention, moolt will delete or anonymize the relevant files within a reasonable time.
How to submit a request manually
If you cannot delete your account yourself or want to submit another data request, please send a request to:
privacy@moolt.siteIn the subject of the letter, indicate one of the following options:
- `Data Access Request`;
- `Data Correction Request`;
- `Data Deletion Request`;
- `Data Restriction Request`;
- `Request for personal data`.
In the letter please indicate:
- email, phone number, username or other identifier associated with the account;
- type of request: access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or other request;
- what data or actions relate to the request;
- country or region of residence, if relevant to applicable law;
- additional information that will help you find your account and process your request.
Do not send passwords, verification codes, access tokens, credit card information or other sensitive data.
Identity verification
Before executing a request, moolt may ask for confirmation that the request was sent by the account owner or an authorized representative.
To verify identity, moolt can use:
- response from the email address associated with the account;
- login to your account and re-confirm the action;
- one-time confirmation code;
- additional information about the account if access to email is lost;
- documentary evidence of the representative’s authority if the request is sent by the user’s representative.
moolt only requests information that is reasonably necessary to verify identity and process the request.
Processing times
moolt processes requests within a reasonable time after receiving sufficient information to identify the account and understand the request.
Estimated response time: 30 calendar days.
If the request is complex, requires additional review, or involves backups, logs, legal records, or file storage, processing may take longer. In such event, moolt will endeavor to notify you of the delay and the reason for the delay.
When a request can be limited or denied
moolt may limit or deny a request if:
- it was not possible to confirm the identity of the applicant;
- the request relates to the data of another user;
- fulfilling the request will violate the rights and freedoms of other persons;
- data must be retained by law or to protect the rights of moolt;
- the data is needed to investigate abuse, ensure security or prevent fraud;
- the request is clearly unfounded, excessive or repetitive;
- It is technically impossible to immediately delete data from backups or logs without compromising the security and integrity of systems.
If moolt is unable to complete a request, moolt will explain the reason in the response if it is legally permitted and does not pose a security risk.
What happens after deletion
After deleting your account:
- you may lose access to your account and related pages;
- public pages, cards and account data may become unavailable;
- it may be impossible to restore your account and its contents;
- some technical records may be retained for a limited time in logs, backup copies or legally required systems;
- previously published links, previews, caches of search engines or third-party services may not be updated immediately and are not always controlled by moolt.
